This is my latest H.P. Lovecraft inspired triptych but based on no particular piece of fiction…I was basically working to reuse some artwork I was not happy with by adding some additional elements around a Stealth Fighter… If you recall, I put the Mi-Go in a scene in 2020 with a Stealth Fighter… you can see that here. I ended up not liking the planes and Mi-Go together, and split the elements into two pieces, this is the second of the two you can see where the Mi-Go went here. Now there are two more planes and a vicious old one trying to destroy them before they can escape…
“The Whisperer in the Darkness” by H.P. Lovecraft… The Mi-Go Abduct Henry Wentworth Akeley Pencil on Board 33″x 17″
This is my latest H.P. Lovecraft inspired triptych based on his classic story “Whisperer in the Darkness” where the Mi-Go a race of Cosmic insect/fungus beings kidnap a farmer in Vermont named Henry Wentworth Akeley. This is a scene hinted at in the book where he is finally abducted by the Mi-Go for the removal of his brain in a cosmic travel process… If you recall, I put the Mi-Go in a scene in 2020 with a Stealth Fighter… you can see that here. I ended up not liking the planes and Mi-Go together, and split the elements into two pieces, this is the first of the two. Stay tuned for the Stealth Fighter F117-A artwork next!
H.P. LOVECRAFT INSPIRED: Priestess of Dagon with Deep Ones in the Town of Innsmouth
Another haunted look inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft. I often thought of the minions of Dagon moving in the town out and proud as the dominate the town, perhaps these movements are only hidden when outsiders come to the town like in Lovecraft’s classic tale “Shadow over Innsmouth” where we are first introduced to the shadowy New England town that isn’t quite human anymore. The Priestess (with a tiara of Dagon) walks to a cult event flanked by two powerful Deep Ones.
