From three recent sessions of figure drawing

Just three pieces from this session, the first one just was a bad one (included) but the second was good, and the last one could be my best figure drawing effort in the two years I have been at it.  I felt I just nailed it- foreshortening and all.  I was shocked with how fast I warmed up to getting into the swing of drawing this evening, I got in 30 minutes late, and didnt get my warm up sketches, which made the session even more surprising.

My third session in the last few months with our Model, Georgia. Very long hair has been a challenge with her obscuring her figure. I was quite pleased with this session of four pieces, especially the one hour pose at the end, I felt I really tackled her hair in a creative way and stylized it!

A great session this week with a new model, very pleased with my sketches this week.

A solid session with a model that was older than our normal college aged folks- I really felt I nailed these four pieces, and I think the model gave us some challenges in her poses and made me work.

I felt like I had a hot hand this week, and I was really pleased with the figure drawing session this week, especially the bottom first drawing, which is always a non traditional angle to work.  Also of note- I was very happy with how my feet turned out on these pieces.

Another session that was a struggle and challenge for me,  here is my most current figure drawing session from last week.  But like basketball, when a shooter hits a cold streak, you shoot your way out of it, I’ll be back at figure drawing class this week.

This was not the best figure drawing session for me, it was if I had a bad deal on a card game, but here are the results, even if it wasnt the easiest session for me- practice makes perfect.  I am always learning to work on my human anatomy to continually get better and improve my craft.
