“Grizelda”- Page 8 Pencils

More from the violent occult world of “Grizelda”

“Grizelda”- Page 7 Pencils

More Grizelda Pencils- I used a “Dr. Strange” transition from the flashback sequences back to the current situation in the storyline. I also found some old Glyphs to spell out Grizelda in the semi-cirle of magic symbols around the Cat’s and Great Beast’s Eyes, sort of a hidden message for the “True Believers”.  And of course, more arcane ultra-violence from the Necromancer.

“Grizelda”- Page 6 Pencils & Concept Sketch: “The Great Beast”

More “Grizelda”- it’s over half way pencilled now- and the new concept character David Paul and I have been discussing has come to life- the GREAT BEAST- part H.P. Lovecraft Monster, Part Egyptian Sphinx, Part Death Metal Band- it stands alone as a kick ass creation for this story!  The concept sketch was right on the money!

More Pencils from page 4 of the Violent world of “Grizelda”

“Grizelda” Title Page

This is the new lettered logo and colored title & promotional image for

“Through the Eyes of Grizelda”.  Great job to my UGLI collaborators

David Paul for the title lettering and Gary T. Becks for the coloring and

effects.

“Grizelda”- Page 3 Pencils

This is part 2 (Right Side) of a 2 part splash to introduce the reader to the

chaotic world of “Grizelda”.  With Black Magic and Zombie Giants, how can you

go wrong?

“Grizelda”- Page 2 Pencils

This is part 1 (Left Side) of a 2 part splash to introduce the reader to the chaotic world of “Grizelda”.  This is a reverse of the first panel where we see the cat’s eye relecting the imagery of a castle under siege.

“Grizelda”- Page 1 Pencils

First page of my “Magnum Opus” of horror fantasy- “Through the Eyes of

Grizelda”.  The “Cat’s Eye View”  turned out better than I anticipated.

UGLI Studios print advertisement- 2011

Very cool one page print advertisement done by my letterer and partner in crime- David Paul.  Apparently he is getting this in some new publication free of charge to get us some publicity and work.  Nice mix of images from “Grizelda” and “Vermin”.  David’s logo for UGLI is also very cool, in my humble opinion!
